More on Irish Censor Labels - pink

Since I last listed the number of different types ofpink censor labels used by the Irish authorities during the Second World War (1939 -1945), back in the December issue of the Journal, 2005. I am pleased to tell you that I have obtained a few variants on the 17 different types, which I listed at that time.

Generally the pink censor labels come in 2 distinct categories either with a hand stamped number, which is added by the individual censor at the time of censorship or the number is incorporated within the original printing of the pink label.
